I definitely would move back to the home...such nostalgic memories of warmth feed my soul thinking back to my own childhood home that I lived in for 20 years.
Parents and what they make their children do...bah! Even my own grandmother spoiled the little girl more who lived in a rental house they owned. My grandmother was a brat one time when she had an adorable pair of red mittens and a red knitted store bought hat. I was at her house with Judy, the little girl who was exactly my age, and my grandmother looked at both of us and she was standing there holding the red hat and mittens and she gave Judy the hat with little tassels on it and me the gloves! I was her GRANDDAUGHTER for crying out loud! She should have given them both to ME! So you see, all children 'feel this way' when what they 'think' what 'rightfully belongs to THEM' they should NOT have to give to SOMEONE ELSE! My grandmother did teach me how to knit and crochet and for that I am thankful for, as I did crochet up a storm for years and made money doing it too. So I understand perfectly well how you felt about the turtle. Too much inside turmoil for a child to handle...not fair! not fair!
I'm glad you kept the turtle...hee! hee!
Teresa in California
tscat@sbcglobal.net
P.S.
