There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound. ~Diana Cortee

It has been almost a year since "Art Nest" art retreat where I meet Karen . A few days ago a surprise  arrived  in the mail !! After reading my blog Karen  thought I needed a pick me up! When I opened  it, tears came to my eyes . He stands about 5 inches tall and is the sweetest thing in the world!!! He now owns a place of  great honor in my living room placed on my victorian clock shelf beside old clock. I call him  " The Time Keeper " and  he will remind me that all things heal in time . Thanks, sweet Karen and a BIG  thanks to every one of you for your DEAR support and comments  . I heal a bit more everyday. Art saves lives !  PS I have told Karen she needs to  make these dear little guys and sell them! Her site is
http://tessandore.typepad.com/my_weblog/ Oh but she is warming in the sun in Maui right now!!! Hugs to all Julie

Karen is so sweet and I love her little felted creations. You know she was the first person - other than Daniel - to leave a comment when I first started blogging - I loved that!! So glad you got something happy in the mail!! Love, Silke

Friend, art does save. Your sweet way is also why we are there for you. Don't be down. You might write about this concept for dear Jenny Doh at her Crescendoh.com for her new company's theme is How Art Saves. Consider it. Maybe catharsis will be had in the exploration. I send love and light. Blessings, Amy Sperry Faldet

Hi Julie

You are sounding bright this morning, many thanks for the link.

With regards to 'The Queen' do you think that I should give her a neclace?

I've just tried to return your email but I just got this message Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

If you could leave me your email address next time you visit I shall be able to communicate a bit better... that's if you'd like to of course.

Julie
