waiting

I am feeling a bit lost tonight. Like I am waiting for something to happen. Yet know I need to be the one to make it happen and do not know how. I have been in a wing phase with my work lately. Everything seems to need them. I think maybe it is because I feel a bit ungrounded....

Julie you just don't realize it is happening and you have wings bigger than I have ever seen. You are an angel....Hang in there girl.

Hi Julie -

There is something freeing when we picture ourselves flying. Just open your arms, turn your face to the sky & take wing; whatever is weighing you down will be left behind.

This is a beautiful piece! Feeling ungrounded - go out and get your fingers into Mother Earth, lay your palms on the ground and feel her energy flow into you...

I know what you mean!I think there are times to act and times to wait. Trust that you are where you are meant to be. This piece is such a beautiful expression of what you're feeling.

I often go through these 'wingless' phases Julie, it will pass and you will find your wings again, trust me!

After travel I can feel that way and it takes a bit to soar around and feel on purpose again. I get that after I have an art show or a class and the best cure is coffee with a good friend and hugs from my little ones and especially to begin a new art piece. Maybe even one just for yourself. Dear Natasha Burns is having an All About Me day on the 22nd of Oct. for that reason. Sometimes we artists, who love to create, who love to create for others, forget because we are generally a happy lot, to create for ourselves with no intention that it will be sold or given away. What do you think? Something to ponder. Sending care and love. Don't feel lost. You have twinkle lights glowing on your path. Blessings and light, Amy

I too have had this feeling. It's hard at times to stay present and just wait, but I bet something exciting is coming your way!

Ah, life's waiting room can be a difficult place. I am in this very room myself. Which door to go through next? This is when I usually put on my wings on and fly out the window.LOL I find that working on my nest(home) helps me feel safe and grounded. As I work I clear my mind and find my center again. Julie you have mighty wings that will carry you through and land you safely in your nest.
Sending blessings and gentle breezes to carry you on your journey.

Hugs,
Mary

Dear Julie,

They are there, your wings, and will fold out when you most need them.

I feel that all the time. My paintings show that hugely, which direction shall I go in next? there are so many how will I know the right one?

Wings are good, if you want to put wings on everything do it!!

p.s. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, just me going off in another direction (again) ;)

I know this isn't the type of advise you've gotten from everyone else, but uncork a good bottle of wine, sit outside if the weather is nice and just enjoy the moment!!! LOL Works for me!!!!

This piece is lovely!!

And I agree, everyone feels a little overwhelmed with 'gravity' sometimes. Perhaps during the days when we're grounded it's when the growing upward can happen....or the wing sprouting.

Sometimes before we soar we have to wait - not my forte either, Julie!!! LOL! Generally, I feel it's very disconcerting to have that "unsettled, waiting for a shoe to drop or a direction to present itself feeling". But it always passes: you KNOW it does. And then a window opens just a tiny bit and the answers are whispered on an inspirational wind. Hope you've had a quiet, relaxing weekend! Hugs, Terri xoxo

Gosh, I wish I could be as elegant in my writing as all these other wonderful friends of yours are. But I just want you to know that you are loved by so many and adored by even more. I think your wings may be taking a little breather and will soon flutter into their spot. You've had a ton on your plate over the past many months. I'm sending you prayers for peace, direction and rejuvenation! Lots of BIG HUGS, Nancy

Julie, isn't that a weird space to be in? When you feel like something is right around the corner and you are just in waiting mode. It's very familiar to me. I usually just make sure I take care of myself during that time and do what's right in front of me. Seems like you are making art and that's wonderful. This latest piece is gorgeous! Hugs, Silke

Hi Julie,

I understand that feeling, and I hope you find your way out soon. Sometimes we need to just be still and wait.

This little assemblage is lovely. The wings really fit the piece and complete it.

Hugs,
Angela
