I have been making little doll heads and I thought they looked so funny just waiting for me to make their bodies, But as I loaded the picture it dawned on me what is the unsettled feeling I have had since yesterday morning .I feel like part of me is missing just like these doll heads. Cal left yesterday morning for NM after a wonderful weekend together here in AZ and I just plain miss him. Just a few more months and things will sift hopefully in his job and our housing situation and hopefully we will be done with being apart. I sure hope so.

My sweet, very pregnant daughter is going through this. Her husband is going with his company where ever they send him to keep the money coming in.His next job could be in Farmington,NM.

About the paper, I love it! great texture. I buy here in MA great barrington at an art store called JWS art supplies great store but a bit two pricie. They do have discounts. tHE PAPER IS CALLED Vincent Rossini finest handmade stationari and traditional leatherworks describes on the plastic sheet where the watercolor paper comes in. It comes in all sizes and they are 5 sheets pack, good price too. The paper is great and it's 140lb cold press. I've seen this paper here. I'm not sure if they sell it in others artstores. Check it out! lots of love for you!!

Hi Julie,
love the doll heads! I am hoping and praying all your wishes come true soon:)
I do understand. I used to wander from room to room when my husband went out of town for his job, then I'd go for a walk, but an invigorating one! If I dawdled, I'd start to sink again. You will feel better in the morning. Promise.
xx

I can relate. My husband is overseas for a year. :( He'll be home for 2 weeks soon.

Julie,I am passing along the Premio Meme Award to your lovely blog!
Enjoy your day!
I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you and Cal to be apart! Usually you are the one leaving, but this time it was him, so that probably feels strange!
How's your sweet little peanut feeling??
I sent you a long email explaining my experience with husband withdrawal, so I won't write anything more but a big YOU CAN DO IT in my very awful Arnold impersonation. It IS almost like missing part of your body. Hang in there sweetie pie! (I am tempted to write about the silver lining and how fun and romantic it is to see each other after long absences, much like first dates, but don't want to scare you away so I'll just plant that little seed)
Oh, Julie, your doll heads are just enchanting! Can't wait to see them united with their bodies and context. They are so beautiful and alive now!
